Hi all,
i’m looking for a shredder for my home office and came across the Rexel Auto+ range. Does anybody have any experience of using these or can they recommend an alternative. I like the fact that this range has a‘ flatbed‘ shredder function. Does anyone know of any others that have similar?
thanks,
R.

Fellowes do similar plus loads of no name auto feed shredders available. How much paper do you shred - do you really need to spend £200+ on a secure shredder that takes 150+ sheets or will a £60 70 sheet non locking one do ?

I spend around £100 every time we need a shredder for the office and I usually buy from CostCo, on the grounds that they'll replace / refund with no questions asked as long as it's less than - can't remember if it's a year or three years old.
It partly depends who's using it how much you have to spend. If it's just you or an intelligent colleague who can be relied on not to force 20 sheets of paper into a 12 sheet max (for example), and who will stop when it overheats and let it cool down properly if you're doing A Lot, you can afford to spend less, IMO. But then, if someone is going to abuse it, then spending a lot of money won't help anyway.Signature removed for peace of mind0 -
With a shredder I found it was buy cheap, pay several times. I broke 3 over about 5 years before finding the Swordfish 1500XCD which I've had for about 10. It's pretty robust, you can shred CDs with it.

We have the Costco shredder for about £80 and it is the most robust and reliable one we've ever had. Royal 1216x model0
