12 weeks maximum claim?

My furlough 12 weeks ends on the 8th june. Providing I dont go back to work can this be extended until the scheme ends? Even if it lowers to 60%

Nobody knows what is going to happen to the scheme yet. It may carry on, it may not, it may get the percentage cut, it may only be for certain industries. Probably only two people know and neither will be on here.

I am not sure what you refer to as '12 weeks' in relation to furlough.  The scheme runs until the end of June and, subject to what your employer decides, you can stay on the scheme until then.  I expect the majority of companies will be returning, or seeking to return, before the current scheme expires.

I doubt even the government really know what will happen 7 weeks from now. They will start lifting restrictions and see what happens, if the rate goes back up they will have to put restrictions back in place so who knows if the scheme will extend or not.

The scheme has provider employers with a window of opportunity to plan for the future. Events may well over take Government announcements as time passes.

So redundancy pay which is a pittance, reduced hours. How would that work? Your on £40k but were halving your hours so your now on £20k so in effect redundant or they carry on paying furlough which wont happen.
