Experian debt to income ratio

Can someone please help. My Experian score is very high but for some reason my debt to income ratio is very poor. It says I am unlikely to have any disposable income. My total debt is only usual credit card spending (paid off every month) up to a maximum of about £300. My income is healthy.
A lot of Googling has told me that experian don't know my income so how have they decided I don't earn very much and how do I change it? If I apply for a new credit card will they have updated income information? I can't find any information anywhere.
Thanks in advance!

I thought that you had to enter your income, if you wanted to do a check for your available pre-approved financial products
I work within the voluntary sector, supporting vulnerable people to rebuild their lives.

    I love my job

Yeah, but try putting £10,000 and £100,000, see if it makes any difference

You must have given them a very low income figure yourself at some point.
