Lloyds group and credit reporting

Was just checking my latest alert with Credit Karma and saw it was about a ‘balance increase’ on Tesco card. Makes sense as I’d done a BT to them a week or so ago. However 2 of my Lloyds group cards, namely MBNA and BoS are still showing a large balance despite being paid off months ago. Seems they haven’t reported any activity to Transunion in nearly 3 months.

Is this common with Lloyds group? Is there any way to get them to update sooner or am I just at the whim of their systems?

I don't know, but I see similar. An account that is described as updated on 20th April is showing the balance from 18th to 20th February. Other accounts are also weeks out of date, such as a Tesco account balance supposed to be on 11th April is missing 3 payments in well before that.

I'm assuming if people apply for new products, the prospective lender gets more up to date info than this old rope.

Same here. MBNA card (Lloyds group) last updated balance in Feb according to Credit Karma. Balance is now half that reported. A bit annoying!

Creditkarma is awful for this stuff, my sister was waiting for her first loan to appear and it has only just come on 4 months later, if you use another free report site, check there to make sure it's all okay.

My Credit Karma report shows MBNA, Halifax and LLoyds credit cards last reported on 29th February.  Those cards are all part of the same group.

Santander last reported on 18th February.

Barclaycard last reported on 28th February.

ClearScore seems to be far more up to date.  My report was created today and shows all my credit card accounts were updated in April.  20th April for MBNA, Halifax and Lloyds.

I came on here to ask about this too. I checked with all three credit reference agencies and both my MBNA and Barclaycard CC balances haven’t been updated in months. Really annoying as I cleared off both balances fully just after the last update weeks before the lockdown (now almost 10 weeks ago) and was hoping to see a difference at least with this months score check but nothing.

Don’t know whether to contact the lenders or just wait it out. I’m kinda glad Im not the only one this has happened to!

we are having a similar issue.  All paid off on the 4th April and still no updated balance.  Which sucks as it was part of a DPP and they are still reporting last month and this as a default when it's been paid.   We are about to write to them and ask them to amend it asap.
I did wonder if it was part of a larger thing where they just didn't report and so those in financial difficulty weren't penalised.

I doubt it.  As I mentioned previously, my Clearscore account is up to date because it contains information from last month.

I've just checked my TotallyMoney report.  Some accounts on it haven't been updated since JanuaryCredit Karma and TotallyMoney both use data from TransUnion.

You can get your TransUnion credit report straight from the horse's mouth by requesting a statutory report from TransUnion itself: https://www.transunionstatreport.co.uk/.  It's free and, IIRC, after verifying your identity you'll get access to the report online immediately .

My MBNA, Barclaycard and M&S cc accounts haven’t been updated at any CRA since 29 Feb.

It can take eight weeks for balances to update.

I've found Lloyds Banking Group to be among the slowest to update.
