SEISS CLAIM

I have been deemed eligible to make a claim. When the date I can apply comes, will I need all my tax/ earning information to make that claim? And will I really have to give my bank details to HMRC online? This seems to go against all online security advice.
Cheers all and keep safe and well and smiling.

Taxpayers regularly enter their bank account details on their online tax returns, if they expect a refund. Your bank details like sort code and account number are often in the public domain (the details are often put on the bottom of invoices). It is your username, password and memorable information that you keep to yourself (and your PIN), and HMRC will not be asking for any of those. I suspect the claim will already have your UTR and NINO on it, like your tax return does.1

HMRC will be calculating your grant on the basis of your previous tax returns. I don't think they require any new information.Smithr031167 said:I have been deemed eligible to make a claim. I have to supply my bank details every year when I do my tax return - I can see no difference.Information I post is for England unless otherwise stated. Some rules may be different in other parts of UK.1 -
Giving bank details means account number and sort code. It's completely safe.First 100% independent comparison platform and financial information service.
