Holiday cancellation refund

Scenic Cruises have cancelled our cruise for the end of May. They are unable to offer an equivalent holiday next year, but have refused to refund the cost of the holiday. We want to support the industry by booking a holiday next year, but cannot do so while they keep our money! Who can we turn to for help?

Under current law they must refund within 14 days if a customer declines a credit note. Expecting somebody to wait until the end of 2022 is definitely taking the p****. ABTA are unfortunately backing companies in this action so you need to take it up with the Competition and Marketing Authority CMA or write to Scenic Cruises stating you want a refund in accordance with the law or you will start court proceedings.
