Hiya,
I hope this helps a little the people questioning why the UK has such a bad shortage, I'm in Canada at the moment and you cannot get them for lov nor money here or in the USA, its been on the news a fair bit.
Good luck to every one still trying to get one!0 -
It seems to me that people on this thread were being treated as divine if they offered to sell a Wii at cost price last week, this week they are being treated as lepers.
This thread breaks just about every rule on the MSe board.
Not least as it should be in the "I wanna Buy it" section or random musings.
So be nice to each other, I have bought 2 Wii's because of info. on here.
I am keeping one and have jsut given one to my Godchildren for Christmas, but I'd rather have bought from someone on here than someone on ebay.
So let's be nice to one another peeps, after all it is Christmas ( almost.)0 -
I wish all those people trying to sell Wiis at cost price to help others would get the message - this board is for pontificating, not for helping others! I suggest you stop trying to help and try flogging your Wiis somewhere more profitable, before the thought police remove your membership of the site altogether. You don't get medals for sitting in the trenches.0

Nintendo, which is striving to meet Wii demand more than a year after the machine first went on sale, was also trying to discourage the practice of bundling the consoles with extra games or accessories and selling it for a higher price."We don't have to remind retailers of the strength we have right now. We are simply making an observation and that reinforces our point quite nicely with retailers," Fils-Aime said.

I got a Wii from the HMV store on the Colisuem, Cheshire Oaks, Ellesmere Port today. There was signs up all over the store to say that they're in stock so I'm guessing they've got a fair few at the moment. Not sure if this is a good price or not (really I should have looked online for a good deal ages ago but I left it to the last minute) but I paid £275 for the console, a memory card and 3 games (you could choose any games worth £39.99 or less).
Edited to add: The price for the console on it's own was £179.99:smileyhea Proud Mummy of 2 :smileyheaTotally addicted to Boots glitches & the Next sales!0 -
