I can see the retailers taking the hard line and only accepting faulty stock back or at least items described as faulty. So no the returned stock would go back on sale cheap.

i managed to bag a wii at argos, and was told that it is excluded from the 30 day money back guarantee unless faulty!
  • You're very welcome Claire.

    Well done.:T

I'm glad it's all sorted for you & the kids.:)

someone will just return it in another box and recipt to a retailer The shop assitant behind the counter will just accepet and process the refund/replacement. retailer gets a credit note everyone happy
This is true, new kids are far less expensive than new consoles, in fact all the better if you can get them on lend lease arrangement, grandchildren are far less expensive altogether although there are other implications on seeking this option.

my daughter rang and said she got one from game today for her boyfriend. Nothing new to report though, it was from game, a bundle deal and at £290 probably not what anyone needs to know. It's worked out okay, she's buying him the console and we'll pay for the games as his present. Good when you can do that. I know it's not so easy when it's for your own little ones though. I don't think any of the games would have been suitable for a young child.
Sincerely hope you all manage to get one.
