Hello, just thought I'd share my experience with you: -

I used the http://www.wii-consoles.co.uk site and checked the Real Time wii locator page, i did see many wii's being sold for over £300, and that was just the console on its own.

After a day or two I noticed an offer from www.game.co.uk which included the following: -

    Console
    wii sports
    controller + nunchuck
    Zelda
    Mario Galaxy
    Paper Mario
    Big Brain Academy
    Golden Compass

This was a bundle for £330, after working on an average price of 180 for console & £35 per game I saved: - £25

This was ordered and I haven an e:mail saying its been shipped.

Next I went to www.pcworld.co.uk and purchased 3 x nunchucks at £12.99, I saved around £8 on each of these as they retail for around £20 in most shops in Bristol.

Finally I obviously needed the controllers, they retail here between £35 & £40. Here I used eBay. I managed to purchase 3 x wii Controllers from 1busyman This person has an online shop: - http://stores.ebay.co.uk/1Busymans-Budget-Video-Gameswhich sold the controllers for £17.99 ($35.99) Now, including shipping this came to around £77 which means I saved £28 if I bought from retail stores here.

All this will be shipped before Christmas!

    Total saving = £61

    UK Console
    4 x controller + nunchuck
    wii sports
    Zelda
    Mario Galaxy
    Paper Mario
    Big Brain Academy
    Golden Compass

Note: Don't buy games from America as they will not work on European wii's
    :j

Seems very cheap. Hes selling Wii Play for £25 - pity its NTSC and wont work on a PAL machine.

Nunchuks for £8. Pity its about £8 on top for shipping per item !!!
  • Sold a Wii on eBay earlier, that was surplus in a package deal.

Buyer just emailed me to tell me that they did not want it. Has feedback of +1, and has bidded before. Feedback is over a year old.

So annoying, asked them to refund me the £13.91 they have cost me in listing and FVF fee's.

Lets hope something comes of it, and i can relist it now..

    Second chance bidder?

Presumably though if you could have bought the basic Wii console with Wii Sports you would have done?

If so, then how is spending even more money on a bundle that has been 'forced' on you a saving?

Not getting at you here, I just hate the way the retailers are taking advantage of the Wii shortage and forcing over-price, rip-off bundles on people.

Agreed, I would of bought a console on its own, however I did want all the games in this bundle, well apart from Golden Compass, so for me I did save monies.
  • Oh heck..I'm sorry.

I've tracked my mario galaxy purchase down to choicesuk.com but they don't seem to have any stock now.

I'll let you know if I find one.
  • Hi,

I got Super Mario Galaxy from Argos a couple of days ago.

It was £34.99 and reserve for store pick up
  • Hi bear with me, its my first post.

I wanted the £179.99 deal with the Wii but could not find it anywhere, most places appear to be selling them with games to make more money. i.e. HMV Wii + 5 games £350.

I went after the German amazon deal but saw the notes on here about it. So went to Ebay, well Ebay Germany to be precise. Won a Wii on the 30th November arrived today and paid £220.47 inc postage (£14) comes with the UK plug adapter so all OK.

Here is the a deal from the same seller, and yes I'll be giving top feedback marks. Paid via Paypal also so was covered if anything went Pete Tong (Wrong)

    Hope this helps.
