we have had a really bad year health wise. I havnt promised a Wii for xmas but would soooo love to see her face if she was to open one on christmas day




My daughert (12) has Fibrosing pancratitus, she is the biggest bravest hero I know. I#m trying my level best to get her a Wii in time for christmas day.

Which is fine, but for the fact some discs force an upgrade when you insert it or won't let you play the game. (Same as sony PSP disks) And you can probably forget any online gaming.

Thw wii is much more online aware, the default channels (Mii, Photo, Shop, Weather and News) all need online connectivity, and it's far too early to say if a chip will be detected and online connectivity meaning the machine will be blacklisted.

Don't get me wrong, I'm sure they'll get round it, it's just too new to say, and remember there are only a few games that do online gaming yet, better to wait for them to be out in bulk than risk it.
