Ah so I would have qualified for the grant in England as the value is £15,000. Both of my premises would have qualified for this regardless of dates. Very frustrating that it's different rules everywhere0

Particularly when I am in direct competition with businesses in England. All jobs I have been to in the last 2 weeks to price and tender for have all had companies from England there as well competing against me. It just doesn't seem to be a level playing field.0

The problem seems to arise from the fact that SBRR in England is more generous than in Wales. In England you get full SBRR up to a rateable value of £12,000, then tapered up to £15,000. In Wales you get full SBRR up to a rateable value of £6,000, then tapered up to £12,000. Another consequence of this is that businesses occupying properties in the RHL sector in Wales with a rateable value between £12,000 and £15,000 are better off than in England, because the grant in Wales is £25,000, but is £10,000 in England. That's devolution for you.1
