Yorkshire Energy Pulled Their Variable Tariff?
anyone else noticed this? Gearing up to switch my lad from SP, just refreshed his uswitch results, and their variable tariff appears to have disappeared
OK, so only about £20-30 a year less than the fixed, but unusual nonetheless...

Yes within the last few days .Not unusual i have delayed a few times and tariffs gone .0

I would have thought it more normal for fixed tariffs to be pulled, and the variable ones just, well, varied the prices!! However, I can see the business perspective of moving to one fixed tariff, especially when wholesale prices are volatile.......Gettin' There, Wherever There is......

I'm in the process of switching to that tariff right now (live date is the 12th), is this likely to have any effect on me?0

you may find you're moved to the fixed tariff....I know for me and my lad it was only about £20-odd difference to the variable, and a bit of certainty for a yearTimbosaurus said:I'm in the process of switching to that tariff right now (live date is the 12th), is this likely to have any effect on me?

Why? The fact the tariff is no longer available to new customers is of no consequence to @Timbosaurus. This happens all the time as tariffs are pulled and replaced with new ones.GunJack said:

If you have confirmation, then no, at laest not in the short term.Timbosaurus said:I'm in the process of switching to that tariff right now (live date is the 12th), is this likely to have any effect on me?
As it's a variable tariff you applioed for, then you know it can be varied, albeit on 30 days notice if it's disadvantageous to you.
If the supplier is no longer wishing to supply on a variable tariff, they may pull it eventually even for existing customers, or just put the price up & up to tempt you to transfer, but you will have 30 days notice.
