Hi everyone,
Can anyone tell me how to stop getting these damn emails.
I have my account with Orange but I have them to come through to my Outlook Express folder. In Orange I can choose to have my spam filters and all that on, which i do have, if I look in the junk mail folder there are 1200 emails over the last 7 days. However, i am still getting them into Outlook Express.
We have one of those emails where the prefix is the address and we can have anything in the front, so we use 4 email addresses in total but only 2 on a regular basis, one for eBay and my customers as it is prefixed with my business name, and the other is the one we always use. they all come through this address but I am getting hundreds each day - last night I had 75 even though they are ebing blocked and there was about 200 stopped through the mail blocker as well.
Is there anything else that I can do that I am not? The latest is lots of Delayed Mail and Returned to sender Mails. They are driving me insane. Can you offer me any advice?? If I look at who they are addressed to it has some other name. What is all that about. Can someone help me make more sense of this?
Thanks.

Are you sure you haven't got some virus or spyware on there?0

Google Mail is very good at killing spam.
You could try setting up a Google Mail account, and set Google to gather e-mail from your Orange account(s). Then configure Outlook to pickup mail from Google.0 -
If you only use 4 addresses then that still doesn't really prevent one of the addresses being acquired by spammers. Personally I'm up to something like 300 different addresses, it makes it much easier to narrow down specifically who passed on my address. So far this has reduced my spam to zero without any filters."She is quite the oddball. Did you notice how she didn't even get excited when she saw this original ZX-81?"

Not sure, I'll ask hubby, I am usually checking emails every minute but I've set Outlook up to check every 15 minutes and as they come into Orange I am deleting and making them all as Spam, apparently orange starts to recognise what is being marked as Spam then.
if this does not work I'll do the Google thing, I will get hubby to should I say, I am pants at stuff like that.0
