My wife was working in a care home but she left once her notice had run out. She is registered with a care agency but due to my daughter being disabled and high risk she is looking after her And not picking shifts up so we decided her PA isnt allowed to do her personal care for safety reasons. What is my wife entitled to as we are really struggling financially

Universal Credit can be claimed as a couple, providing you don't have savings/capital of more than £16,000. Use a benefits calculator to check entitlement. A claim for UC will end any tax credits you may already be claiming. If you're not entitled to that then she can claim New style JSA providing she's paid enough NI contributions in tax years April 2017 to March 2019. https://www.gov.uk/guidance/new-style-jobseekers-allowanceIf your daughter is claiming PIP daily living or DLA mid/high rate care your wife could claim Carers allowance BUT a claiming for this could take between 8-12 weeks and she can't claim New style JSA and this at the same time. You wife must also be earning less than £128 per week (for future reference) https://www.gov.uk/carers-allowance/eligibility
