If you buy a UK one the seller should send you the receipt from the shop that will act as your 12 months guarantee. I doubt ones bought from USA will offer any guarantee.

I was searching the internet for ds and kept coming acros expired links for offers on hot deals. When I clicked on one it took me to play.com where the item was added in my basket for . If anyone else wants to try my search was "play.com hotukdeals nintendo ds £99". On my pc the link of interest is EXPIRED - Pink Nintendo ds lite in stock at play.com be quick ... and then click on any of the links that say add to basket.

Does seem a sneaky way of getting one though

Workd for me this morning also - and order is showing as "Packing", and it gives the following descrption.

"What does ‘Packing’ mean?

• Payment for your order has been successfully processed.
• Your order is now being prepared for dispatch. "

I got the black one for £94 (£99 - £5 discount code) using this link http://www.play.com/Games/DS/4-/1025954/Nintendo-DS-Lite-Console-Black/Product.html?add=1025954 which automatically drops it in the baksket - and it does say in stock when you look in the basket.

My advice from a previous scam I was involved in, if you paid by credit card, contact your credit card company and inform them you want to open a dispute as the goods havent arrived. I had to do this for goods I bought off ebay, myself and 32 (aprox) others were scammed. After some investiagting, a few weeks later my credit card company got my money back.

Also notify the police and encourage the other people to do so as these scammers need to be stopped.

I'm intrigued by all this PM-ing LOL.

I too ordered from play using those straight to basket links, if you check the posted link there is one for pink there too. Mine are showing as packing, am crossing everything. Will keep you informed....

I ordered a silver one last night and it soon went to 'Packing' but this morning it had returned to 'Processing'.

I have just spoken to someone at Play.com and he was very surprised that I had been able to order one because as far as he knew they didn't have any in stock. He then went on to say that if they weren't able to fulfil the order then the status would just stay at 'Order Taken'.

I'm still not convinced that I will be receiving the order so will be keeping a close eye on it.
