So on 20th March I started working from home on reduced hours 8.30-2.30 instead of 8.30 to 5. On being furloughed this Wednesday was told wage be based on my reduced hours so I could either take 5 days holidays to cover the reduced hours and keep my 8.30/5 salary or be furloughed on the 8.30/2.30 hours is this right I’m question it as what I’ve heard so far on some sites, hope makes sense !! Many thanks Fleur

You should be furloughed on at least 80% of your reference salary. For a fixed rate employee, that cannot be affected by any change after 19 March 2020, because it is based on your pay in the last pay period ending on or before 19 March 2020. For a variable pay employee, it's based on average of 2019/20 wages up to furlough, or, if higher, the wages in the equivalent period a year earlier. Unless you varied your hours, I think you are a fixed rate employee.
Your employer can tell you when they want you to take holiday, but have to give you notice of twice the amount of holiday in advance.1
