satellite or aerial wire went in, but has been removed? Needs filling with a bit of mortar.A kind word lasts a minute, a skelped erse is sair for a day.1

Thanks, noticed that there is one on the opposite corner also. So you think its just a where a satellite or aerial wire went in?
Heres the other corner.

In that case, there was probably once a wider windowsill, that got taken out when the new one was installed. But it looks like somebody couldn't be bothered patching it up properly. Ideally, you would fill the hole, and re-render.If it sticks, force it.
If it breaks, well it wasn't working right anyway.1 -
Thanks, is it dangerous if the two holes are repaired? ie windows could fall out?0

My neighbour had holes like those. Blue tits moved in and raised a family. They returned every year for at least 20 yearsLove living in a village in the country side0

Just my idiotic neighbours were saying the windows can fall out if you by knock window or when putting pressure on window from pressing on it when cleaning because of the two holes? Made me worried.0

Windows should be securely fixed with screws at the sides and top & bottom. If the job has been done properly, there is no way the windows will fall out.As for the holes, as others have said, patch them with mortar - Do it now whilst you have some nice weather. Spray the area with some water to dampen the bricks & existing cement. Mix a small bucket of mortar (1 part cement, six parts sharp sand), and press it firmly in to the crevices and hole. Smooth off and leave to harden. If you leave it, rain will get in and possibly cause damp problems inside. Would be worth checking the other windows to see if there are similar holes that need filling.Any language construct that forces such insanity in this case should be abandoned without regrets. –

A concrete window sill that was cut out, the bits inside the wall were left there. Someone tried to drill a hole through it and the bit of concrete fell out.Changing the world, one sarcastic comment at a time.0
