Boiler Grant company

Hi, has anyone heard of a company called 'ECO3 Energy Saving Solutions'? Just had a call back from them about a new boiler under the boiler grant scheme - they are booked to come to my house on Monday to fit a new boiler, but seem a little too good to be true - I can't find anything about them other than LTD company details - they are under  'UK Energy Saving Solutions Limited Company Reg No: 11720247' - but can't find any reviews or anything other than the two on their site - bit worried now to be honest.

According to Companies House, it's been going since December 2018, and has one director.  So not exactly a large established company. https://beta.companieshouse.gov.uk/company/11720247

How did you get the grant? Was it the boiler co.?

A friend was scammed by a eco grant co., nothing but trouble and a cold winter.

The best way is to apply to your energy supplier direct. Then they will arrange the boiler co.

My friend to this day can not find out how much the grant was.

Also the sub contracted installer turned out "not qualified".

Yes, Welsh company on BBC News some time ago. The Eco logo + scheme is UK government. Depending on O/Ps benefits it's in 3 parts loft insulation , cladding, the other is help with installation costs for an existing broken boiler replacement. If memory serves me even that really only covers a discount on 'installation costs'.

Thousands of posts in MSE in the past. I'd want to read and have my solicitor read the 4 corners of any signed and dated final price by them before I signed it. Best of luck.
