Self employed and struggling to get by

One thing I never hear the self employed talking about, is going and getting a PAYE job.  The local supermarket here is still recruiting as they are busier than ever, so if I got desperate I would go and apply for a job there, even if I intended to go back to self employed work when conditions allowed.
😡😣 'the self employed' you're referring to are probably so wracked with worry that their head and brain can barely function; they are so used to being in control of their lives that curveballs, certainly like this crisis, completely knock them off their stand, the end result being a brain full of cotton wool.

At all other times we are disciplined, decisive, and sharp.
I can totally empathise with all of us that are in a state of panic and shock.

When we've gathered ourself together we will be right back there serving you with your needs (and have contingencies in place for the future).
    Thank you.

Many of us self employed have had or do still have a 2nd job that is PAYE as we understand the risks associated with self employment whereby some weeks can be better than others so having some kind of regular income is essential during rough periods. I've worked in Supermarkets and still do security work as a 2nd job. Alot of the work we undertake is zero hours. Not our choosing and much of what zero hours represents I dont particularly like but one of the positives is that it offers some flexibility with regards to working hours and days that suit.
