In the same way No knows when primary and secondary schools will reopen it is the same for Universities.
Will the football season start again ? Will shops and bars/ restaurants reopen.
Can millions of people go back to work.
There will be thousands of foreign students not studying in the UK this year and maybe a number of UK students deferring University admission for a year.
Who knows !
I am sure we all want things to return to normal and many large Universities will be hoping to start the new term in September or face bankruptcy0 -
Thanks for all the replies and the explanations really has helped me thoroughly to understand my situation. I think if the whole thing with coronavirus wasn't around I would be confident in paying the money, but with times being uncertain as @zagubov
said I'm uncertain if i'll even be returning. But I'm sure if I asked the property agents they would still require the money. Thanks all for the help much appreciated1 -
I'm absolutely certain universities want to open in September.
I'm not in the least certain that sensible anti-covid measures at that time would allow mass assemblies in lecture halls.
I've always been a fan of the OU (and i've worked for them) but the residential universities will have to pick up some OU skills over the summer. There is no honour to be had in not knowing a thing that can be known - Danny Baker0 -
Medical students are likely to be getting their lectures online, with seminars/tutorials taking place in lecture halls where social distancing can be folowed. That on top of some of the other changes in their training in recent years, I'm going to be checking the date my GP/consultant qualified in the future.....0
