Should I be pying tax on a leased car via a perk at work

Hi all,
I took the offer of a perk through my employer to get a lease car last year, for which I am wholly responsible, not my employer. Since then my tax code has changed a couple of times and at one point last year it was 750L and now reads 555L/0.
What I would like to know is the following:-
Why has my code changed as this is not classed as a company car?
Why am I now paying more tax than ever before?
Should I apply for a rebate?
Many thanks for any and all help
Kind regards
Dawn

Whether it was a company car or not it was still a BIK and therefore will attract tax.

I don't understand ... how can it be a perk if you're paying for it and are fully responsible for it? If the employer is actually paying for it then the tax code adjustment is a common way of addressing the tax liability of the Benefit In Kind (BIK).

If your tax code has adjusted and you're paying the lease company then you need to get this sorted out ASAP ... it's not a benefit, it's a burden!

Are you paying the ABSOLUTELY full cost? Not employer subsidised at all?

    Speak to your payroll dept.

If it's a salary sacrifice, then the employer is actually paying for it.
    If it sticks, force it.
If it breaks, well it wasn't working right anyway.
