How do i approach this just cancel my direct debits x
You need to write to each of your unsecured creditors.  Use the letter template linked below:

    https://www.nationaldebtline.org/EW/sampleletters/Pages/Hold-action-on-your-account-%28sole-name%29.aspx

Remove the following words from the letter "of at least 30 days".  As that will give you the option to extend your breathing space.  :)

Once you have posted the letters, you should then cancel all the applicable Direct Debits for each of the accounts...

What are your 'other child related expenses' for?
You have not answered this question.  Where does that £250 go?  What is it for?

Edit: Just so you know how your car HP impacts upon your ability to repay your unsecured debts.  If you keep the car it will take you over 20 years of monthly debt management plan (DMP) payments.  However, if you were to return the car, terminating the HP contract, then all your unsecured debts could be repaid in 6-7 years.  You would be able to move forward with your lives so much sooner.  I don't really see that you have many options.

    Thank you.
Soon as my husband is home from
    work i will
    discus  the car issue.
    The deal
was over 60month and we are only 6 month in or so. The water meter i will
give it ago soon as the lockdown period ends.
The dla i try to use it for my son   It also covers damages tv etc, i would  just feel really guilty as using this as income.
I knew you'd say you feel guilty!
It's paid for a care need but no-one monitors what it's spent on, nor should they. In your situation, you'd be shooting yourself in the foot not to use it for essentials - and that halves your shortfall inone move.

I also know what you're thinking about the car and (although I think it was a mistake) you are tied in now. If you voluntarily terminate now you will have a large debt and no car. If you terminate at the 30-month point you should be able to walk away. See if you can juggle everything else
    but
if at the end of the day you can't get to the 30-month point then you do a VT and stick the resulting non-priority debt in your debt management plan.
  • Thank you
we do need 2-300 more coming in  just dont  know how we do this at all.
If we could only afford 50 a month in a dmp
is there any consequences for only paying a  little amount.

Do you really need a £3,000 annual budget for this?  That seems to me to be a hell of a lot of stuff that your son must break...

OK So I appreciate your son is disabled but you must change how everything is done so he can't constantly smash things up. The Hoover is a simple one, unless you are actually Hoovering you must put it somewhere he can't get at it.
It may mean the house looking a little bare but even with his DLA you just can't afford to keep replacing expensive items.
If you go down to the woods today you better not go alone.

Don't worry about it.  If your son goes through hoovers and TVs so quickly, then maybe you do use up the £3,000....Just go through your receipts, check out how much it costs on an average month and then put that as the amount for this category.  You never know, it might be less, it might allow to reallocate some funds into another category.  :)

    Is your son autistic ?
If so i completly understand, my lad runs everywere at 100 miles an hour, tables chairs, cups, glasses, tv, fish tanks, you name it, are all fair game, it can`t be helped, as he can`t change who he is, is your lad similar ?
