No furlough pay

Hi.
I'm seeking advice as my employer has not paid anyone furlough due to seeking questions from the government.
The problem is accrued holiday and employer seeking to get the government to remberse them.
Secondly the employer is asking if we are even entitled to furlough pay as there's no guarantee of a job at the end.
So, I'm unable to claim benifits, no furlough pay untill they get the answers from the government.
I haven't heard of any other employer doing this?
What are my rights?

You accrue holidays yes they government will not pay them for that. If there is a guarantee of a job or not at the end does not matter for claiming.  Show them

You don't have any because no one is entitled to furlough, it's entirely the decision of your employer whether they choose to furlough you or not.

I have been furloughed, by my employer, they are challenging the government not to pay us.

I think you are saying you have been put on furlough, but you have been paid nothing yet because your employer is asking HMRC how to calculate what they can claim? Until your contract of employment is changed, you are entitled to be paid what it says, no matter what your employer can or cannot claim from HMRC. If they will do nothing, and you should have been paid some time ago, you might be best speaking to ACAS. See https://www.acas.org.uk/contact

In relation to the aspect of not being able to claim benefits is it because of the situation with furlough because that shouldn’t stop you being able to apply for Universal Credit.

Please take a look at one of the eligibility calculators such as entitled to or turn2us. Please not if you are claiming tax credits a claim for Universal Credit will end that.
