washing machine door

If any of you experience your washing machine door being stuck, an easy release option is to get a length of lawn trimmer cable feed it into the door from the 12 oclock posistion and around clockwise. You can then pull it from the 9 oclock position this should then release the latch.
Hotpoint machines are prone for the door handle breaking whilst in use, with a brittle little piece of plastic normally snapping.
Take a look on you tube for a visual guide,it saved me £90 and took two minutes.
