    "Sirs,
As you should be aware, this alleged debt is over six years old and not acknowledged by myself, and is now statute barred from any attempt at court enforcement. You should revert to your client.
Controlling or processing my personal data for any purposes would be contrary to the GDPR as enacted in the Data Protection Act 2018 and you should therefore now destroy any personal data relating to myself.
    Sincerely,"

That's brilliant and thank you once again to everyone for your help! Yet another scummy attempt at conning someone thwarted.

I would ask them what legal action tehy would be contemplating, and how making threats of such isnt false or misleading?
I wouldn't unless you're planning to take action over it. Don't ask questions which you can't do anything with the answers from.

You're welcome. The key about the six year statute limitation is that there are grey edges around acknowledging the debt, hence the precise wording in the first sentence.

    This is a good summary - https://moneyaware.co.uk/2013/10/statute-barred-debt/
