How many hard searches do damage?

I have 2 from February (Mortgage apps) 1 failed 2nd one approved. Then I changed my broadband provider to virgin media in April and they done a hard search too. So now I have 3 hard searches in past 12 months. What sort of damage will this do to my file? I’m not really planning of applying for any credit anytime soon. Unless I end up with a big item such as a new Kitchen (likely after August 2021). But I haven’t had any previous hard searches since about 2014. 

Ive spent the last 4 years cleaning up my report and have no defaults, 0% credit usage and a satisfied CCJ due to drop off in July 2021. 

I just want my credit report to be spotless. Just worrying about if these searches could do damage pre completion of mortgage.

You don’t see what is failed and approved. Only that the search happened.

i have 19 searches with experian! The last being on May 1st!

3 searches in a year? Minimal impact - 30 searches in a year? Major impact.

And that is why thou cannot successfully apply for a credit account

I dont think its anything to do with my searches. Its because i have got 4 loans out and 3 credit cards maxed out. Searches actually make minimal impact from a lenders point of view.

Then work on clearing your existing debt down rather than looking for more credit!!!!!

i agree - tough times at the moment. I am barely able to afford the minimum payments at the moment.
