Furlough scheme

Hi need help, I work for the council on zero contract hours and have been told by management that they do not do the furlough scheme because we work for the government. Is this true ?

Without knowing what you do you can have a look at
https://www.local.gov.uk/lga-workforce-update-job-retention-scheme
and see if you think you fit one of the cases that they can claim for. But I do not think it is many.1
