My flight is still scheduled as normal!

My flight with Ryanair is still scheduled as normal and so they are not offering refund or vouchers. I can change my flight date but only until August 2020 and I'm unsure whether things will be back to normal by then / whether I lose any rights if I agree to this. Also what if Ryanair go bust??
We have travel insurance that was booked before the pandemic was announced. This insurance had abandonment cover etc but they are now claiming that they will not cover any claims to do with Covid-19.
What can I do? It looks like we are set to lose hundreds of pounds

You'll only lose hundreds of pounds if you cancel the flight. So just keep going as you are.
They'll either cancel the flight (you get your money back), they go bust (you get your money back) or you get on the flight (you don't get your money back).1 -
Let them cancel the flight and refund .

The flight is still scheduled and has not / will not be cancelled. They have been using this route weekly throughout the pandemic. My flight is in two weeks and they have announced the minutes schedule of flights that will still be operating. Mine is one of them.Browntoa said:Let them cancel the flight and refund .

Great news then. You're one of the lucky ones still able to take the flight you booked.izzyb96 said:

Flight has been confirmed still operating as scheduled. We didn't book on credit card as was booked ages ago and was a mistake on my half - will we still get money back if they go bust? We can't get on the flight because of restrictions on the country we are travelling to. Compulsory quarantine for travellers for 2 weeks (holiday is 7 days)Deleted_User said:You'll only lose hundreds of pounds if you cancel the flight. So just keep going as you are.

Country travelling to not allowing travellers without 2 weeks compulsory quarantine - we are only going for seven days and it just seems unsafe and irresponsible to fly (very soon) with the current guidelines from UK governmentPotbellypig said:

A credit card wouldn’t help you in this case anyway - it only helps if there is a breach of contract, which there isn’t. Ryanair won’t be going bust in the next two weeks so that’s not a factor either.izzyb96 said:

If they didn’t exclude Covid-19 at the time you bought the policy, they can’t just decide to exclude it afterwards. Read the policy though from when you bought it, some may exclude “pandemics” which may give them a get out.1 -
