Talking to a neighbour about the cheese on offer this week and she gets it all the time, she gave a bit to try and Dad found it to be a bit bland and plasticy :(
Give it a miss I think and hope they have some extra mature on the shelf.

Sounds good to me, that Italian red is a real bargain. HM crusty bread, real butter, grated seriously strong with finely sliced red onion, washed down with a slurp of red - Mmmmm!
Yes the wine looks a notch up on the usual stuff they reduce to £2.99. It'd be rude not to give it a go.

Today, 15.05.2020, I bought 2 bars of the fruit & nut chocolate.  As I was putting them away in the kitchen confectionary drawer I found the Best before date - 05.05.2020.  Explains the half price and gives me an excuse to consume without too much delay!

ETA  Went back to Lidl this afternoon and there were 2 boxes - one with bars BB August and the other BB November.

    And here!

I'm having the first normal Saturday I've had in ages and it feels lovely! I got up in time to have a brisk walk down to Lidl for just after 8am and there was no queue, so I was in and out. I picked up my salad requirements for the weekend and got the chocolate which was dated November, but left the pecans because they expire in August - and then went back into the store as I realised I had forgotten the cheese! I had to hunt for it mind, they had the wrong stock where the shelf-talker was but I discovered the reduced fat cheese elsewhere in the fridges and picked up the light blue (30% less fat) version having routed through the red (50% less fat) first.

Am enjoying a lovely late breakfast - a rare treat for me - and finishing off with a nice latte so am appreciating life's simple pleasures :)
