Morning all! Another sunny day..Still not tired of saying that. Woken rudely by next door having a skip delivered...copycats! No, but I will be rooting in there should there happen to be any useful wood
I dug a little path up from the main one to the greenhouse [by myself Nels!], there were about 12 broken concrete blocks which I struggled with to the skip, three trips, and I was breathing like a train and needed a sit down for half an hour after...But it's all doing me good, stamina levels on the increase...I was nosey and went out with my first cup of tea to see what was going on and had a chat with both set of neighbours. Promised one lot we would be cutting a tree branch down that overhangs both us and them. They were pleased.
Today is a bit of moving from one place to the other of whole concrete blocks and earth and pebbles. I am on my own now as a COD widow, but I'm not begrugding him his downtime after Tuesday. If I need muscle and Destructo-Man, he'll be there ....And I didn't have to cook yesterday because both the kedgeree and the chicken chuck together were in the fridge ready and waiting...Probably have to cook tomorrow now [ oh the relief!] . And I also have a video chat booked with friend in Spain who is much relieved to have been let out for a slot for excercise.Ruby, good to hear it was all normal and it was quiet up there. Scarlet, I don't think I want to see what's in mine either...Happy shopping Monna. DOuble bubble for you then camelotTdreams, welcome, nice plants
Nels, me too, the neighbour next door said they were thinking of sending out another lot of letters, I'd be quite happy to stay in to be honest. Anyway, you're allowed some sloth but don't forget to dance like no ones watching...because they aren't..:) Bella if you'd seen the kitchen bin that I was lusting after you wouldn't feel so bad. But until I have an actual nice kitchen, I'll make do with the plastic wastebin and a carrier bag...Hey all reading along, hope you're doing good/great/alive, have a trumpetingly good thursday!

Afternoon All
Not posted in a while. Still expected to work but have been stood down for 3 days this week as on the middle shifts, instead spent time trying to get the garden something like.On my walks each day we have been discovering new to us footpaths which have been lovely.
Ds2 still with us, tensions in the house are rising as my DH doesn’t get that at 19 you think you know everything but don’t and he preaches to him rather than taking if that makes sense. I do sometimes feel like piggy in the middle.
My DD was admitted to hospital 2 days ago but got let home yesterday. She had breathing difficulties but thankfully it is not the virus. She is now on antibiotics and has been signed off work for 2 weeks.More gardening to be done today, need to keep ds2 busy.
redruby - great news on your progress - don’t do too much but enjoy your walks.
Hugs to anyone that needs one. Take care.10 -
Afternoon all and welcome to TonberryDreams !I was up at 7.30 awaiting the Morries delivery, which arrived quick smart and a lovely cheerful driver ( better than Mr Grumpy last time ) Quite a few subs but nothing too outlandish however nearly all the fresh fruit missing again, except bananas and drum roll...... I finally got some lettuce. Woo hoo ! However I seemed to have a lot of more of some items than I wanted and low and behold a lot of chocolate and sweets, so I think Mr Fix It may have had a quick draw clicky mouse finger
Anyway all disinfected/washed/re-bagged and a delivery made to Dad, including a fruit cake that I made yesterday afternoon with one of my last few eggs. He was very appreciative so we stayed for a face to face chat ( either end of the conservatory ) ..... until he started to whinge after about 10 mins
( He's been lovely and upbeat on the phone when I ring every other day, although he now keeps asking if Morries have re-opened their cafe yet
)
DD and DGS surprised me yesterday with 6 eggs which DD spotted in the co-op. Yippee ! I felt like Gollum saying "my precious" about my eggs ! They stayed about half an hour and had a drink and a chocolate bar, but their visit was good tonic for all of us I think. DD and I just wanted to have big cwtches, but instead we made the signs from opposite ends of the patio. How sad is thatI don't know what to do this afternoon, but I really should cut the grass, back and front, so we'll see if I can shift myself after another coffee. I also have to have a game of fitting things in the freezer again ! Note to self " don't let Mr Fix It loose to do the ordering ! "RedRuby glad you had a good appointment and some clarity from the consultant. Good news on the bike riding front too !Camelot I saw the sewing bee, this is the first time I agreed with the judges about the winning garment ! All the kids clothes were lovely.Nelski enjoy your sun, we have clouds and intermittent sun here. Bring on the challenge my BFFMonna nice to know I'm not the only Clumsy Clara on the thread !Scarlett I suppose I should be having my own carpet cleaning fest now......... I'm going to blame you, you are shaming me into it !Right better go and do something. Take care all, stay safe and well please.nan xxFailure is simply the opportunity to begin again, but this time more intelligently11 -
