Has Anyone Had Any Joy Contacting Scottish Power Recently?

My oldest is with SP. They've been totally you-know-what since he bought his place, and trying to sort out their mess we've tried phone (no-go, only if you're going to get cut off or blow up) and live chat on their website (never any availability). What needs correcting the website won't/can't let him, and won't even let him enter a meter reading for electric (yes, he has it with them). IN order to sort this out he really needs to speak/live chat with someone, but it appears that SP have packed up and s0dded off :( 

Anyone had any luck with contacting any form of customer services recently??  What's so frustrating is that I'm trying to get him to switch away for a better deal, but don't want to initiate the switch until I know they've sorted the issue..

    It's the first option that they suggest on their website:

    Online chat is also available currently, not sure the current hours it's open, but I would not be surprised if it was unavailable after 10pm. Even before the current pandemic, it only operated between 8.00am to 10.00pm Monday to Friday and 8.30am to 6.00pm on a Saturday.

    yes they do, but with a deadline, not being able to talk to someone to sort stuff out is poor, even at the moment. Anyhoo, he managed to get someone on chat this morning and so things, whilst not totally sorted, are at least partway there with the rest in progress..

    As soon as it's fully sorted I'm helping him switch faster than a very fast thing !!
