Reporting Furlough Fraud

Hello, I’m sorry if this has been asked before, but I’m new to the forum and haven’t found my way around.
The company I work for closed for 4 weeks, even though the owner had several members of staff in on occasional days and continued to trade. This is easy to prove as goods were purchased, invoices were raised and credit card payments taken. I have since found out that the entire staff, owner included were furloughed for 6 weeks, starting 2 weeks before we ‘closed’.
My question is, if I report it to the HMRC, will my boss be told that he was reported, or would it appear to be a random investigation? My worry is that he would know it was me who reported him, and he is not a man you want to upset.
Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.

You should assume that he will suspect that someone told HMRC, whatever they say or do.0
