CCJ I didnt know about

2 days ago I received a letter from Civil Enforcement regarding an alleged parking fine 3 1/2 years ago on 16 October 2016. They alleged I had a CCJ and agreed a payment plan. They said I had made some payments and last payment received was 12 December 2017. So to receive a letter telling me I had a CCJ and still owed £188.88  as if today (5 March 2020) was a shock to say the least. The address on the letter was correct but I have never had any notification about a CCJ. I quickly checked the CCJ register and sure enough ther I was. I was just floored by this and had no inkling whatsoever. I saw that I could apply to have it set aside but the cost is £255 so though better to pay 188.88 and clear it, but CCJ stays on file for another 3 years. I am fuming! But what us more frustrating is that there is NO WAY to contact or speak to these daylight robbers! Nuff said! But just BEWARE!
