Tarmac drive extension

Hi, we have just moved into a house earlier this year, we decided whilst off work to extend the drive over the garden slightly (4.5mx1.5m)... we’ve done all the ground work etc and now need it tarmac-ing to the level of the drive. We had a quote today of 950 pounds just for this small area off a company that was doing work over the road but seemed a bit dodgy? Is this expected or should it be less? Thanks
