Yes they have given you enough notice, but make sure they pay you at 100% your wage for them days not 80%.0

My Daughter works for an Umbrella company who had her contracted out to RBS she has applied for furlough and has been refused she was working there for several months before lockdown. The Umbrella company Churchill Knight and associates say they are waiting clarification from the government on a couple of points Accrued Holidays and Apprentice levy. They have stated that if they pay these they will become insolvent (amounts to 12.5% ). Since lockdown my daughter has had to rely on relatives for her bills food etc. I am assuming they want some sort of waiver then furlough could be used. Because of the way they work she would be entitled to 80% of the living wage which is better than nothing Churchill Knight insist until clarification from the government about the hols and levy, they will go bust if they have to pay them, they cannot furlough there are many employees in the same boat with Churchill Knight.0

We've had a lot of posts on here regarding umbrella companies and most won't furlough.Your daughter can look at claiming Universal Credit. Savings.capital of more than £16,000 will exclude her. A claim for UC will end an tax credits she may already be claiming. Tell her to use a benefits calculator to check entitlement.0

You can't sign a waiver to opt out of holiday pay. So they are correct on that point. By the time the government get round to do anything about it the scheme will be pretty much over as this is a problem that has been there since the start.0
