Hi Guy's any thoughts on when Travel Insurance could resume i.e. Insurance Companies start selling Travel Insurance?

Did not know they had stopped, I just thought all they had done was put an extra clause in for the current situation.

Having checked with  some companies even one I have car insurance with, they are not taking any new customers for Travel Insurance

A family member who works in the insurance sector told me that the things he is hearing are that many companies are planning to withdraw from the travel insurance market altogether, especially those at the budget end, and those who do offer it are expecting big premium increases, a lot of restrictions on cover, and probably no cover at all for Covid-19 related treatment, which will make travel to many places a very risky prospect for quite some time (even if countries want to accept visitors at all).

Travel is not going to be the same as it was for a long time.

Hi, That does not surprise me in particular to the Budget end of things and the Travel Industry in General, I would agree with your comments. Hoping to go on Holiday August /September watch this space!!
