Static caravan site fees

Looking for a bit of advise I own 2 static caravans one for personal use one I rent as a business to help fund our private one, our fees where due in march approx. 2500 each for a 6 month period I payed £1000 of each and then the site was closed due to covid 19
I have the view that I should be due a reduction as the site is closed and we can not access our van or use the facilities, so I was going to hold back any further payments until a decision was made, however I have received letters saying im in breach of contract and the vans will be removed from site if I don't pay in full they have said that no decision has been made about refunds and they will not comment to saying we will get anything at all.
What are your thoughts
Many thanks

You are contracted to pay the fees , they have ongoing maintenance , business rates etc on the site .

If you pay for them to store the caravans on site and they're continuing to store them on site, why would there be a reduction? You need to read your contract. If there's nothing in there about guaranteed access then they are correct and you are in breach if you don't pay.0

Sites do indeed have to pay business rates BUT they then pass the appropriate charge on to each caravan owner. It's all in the Non-Domestic Rating (Caravan Sites) Regulations 1990 (S I 1990 No. 673). Not sure about rest of UK but as far as I can see, sites in Wales (and thus van owners) will benefit from a 100% rebate this year.

I am in a similar situation with our static site owners (large organisation) not playing fair, but am looking into the question as to whether they have furloughed staff (as most sites will doubtless have done). As staff salaries are a significant part of the annual site fee (which is stated as the main reason why they seem to go up every year), staff should not be furloughed, as they have already been paid via our site fees. Therefore, in my humble view, the element of annual fees payable in respect of staff salaries needs to be refunded to owners immediately, otherwise the site owner could be acting unlawfully by furloughing its staff and then claiming salary subsidies under the Job Retention Scheme....Others may want to bring this question up with their site owners perhaps?0
