British Airways cancelled flight

Hello I received an email from BA yesterday saying my flight had been cancelled. No problem I got through to them and they will issue a refund.
I noticed after that they have only cancelled one leg of a return flight, do I have to wait for them to cancel the return to apply for a refund or will they automatically refund both or if they don’t will I have to accept vouchers for the return flight?

If it's on the same booking then you are entitled to both legs refunded even if only one is cancelled. It's likely BA will refund the entire itinerary although you might wish to double check.0
