Hello I am new to this site and just wanted a bit of advice please...
I booked a night in a travel lodge for me and 2 friends to take place on 18th May 2020,it was for an intended victory parade for the Premier League title which Liverpool were anticipated to win.
When news of lockdown and the social distancing measures broke I emailed Travelodge to find out where we stood etc
Some time later I was emailed saying that a voucher had already been generated as I had cancelled (I've not cancelled even yet).
I responded saying I didn't want a voucher I would like a refund as I had paid with cash and wasn't sure if or when said event would even go ahead again obviously with all this uncertainty, the Travelodge advisor just keeps repeating about a voucher and implying I have already cancelled....
Can anyone please advise.
Thanks

Hi - do you have that email address still? I need to contact them and can only find an expensive telephone number. I don’t want a voucher either. Thanks0

Did you opt for refundable flexi booking? If not little chance of refund.

Hi - I found that number on SayNoto0871 and rang them. The automated message said they were only taking calls for bookings up to 20 May. Mine is 23 May. But I hung on and got through to a very nice lady. Said as above but as they are following guidelines, my booking will probably be cancelled. I explained it was a Super Saver and she seemed to be aware of the CMA guidelines which state that non-refundable payments are still classed as not receiving the services provided. She told me to wait until I get the official cancellation email and she believes I will be entitled to a full refund. So I shall call back when I get that email.0
