Funeral plan query

My mum paid for her own funeral, but some of what she paid for is no longer available (e.g. limo). Should the plan provider be giving us a refund for this? Many thanks

You'll need to ask the provider or check the terms.1

My Aunt died of Covid19 in mid April. She had a Funeral plan where most of the services could not be provided. When I queried this, a modest refund was offered. This was insulting as the plan - 5 years ago - cost more than the same option is now being sold for! As her Executor, I am obliged to act in the best interests of her beneficiaries. This was to cancel the Funeral Plan and pay separately for the services that could be provided. Even after the cancellation charge, my Aunt's estate was better off. The Funeral Director (part of Dignity) claimed that no one had raised this with them before!
