Taxes for SE on £20K are about £2,600. On £20K, I'd go that route so I didn't have to fart around with companies house and corporation tax returns. You said earlier your pay was partly dividends?????

It seems winding a company up involves notice and final accounts. I never quite seem to be in a good place to do that. I was in the business with my ex-wife for many years and have carried it on these last couple. We did think it gave us a more professional presentation to our clients. We used to by VAT registered for the same reason, but that was a massive PITA.
Anyway, I'm having to work whether or not. Can't wait for Happy Monday.
