How was it your elderly neighbours were supplied by eversmart when they had E10 metering?
Could you change the thread title please to something that reflects the thread content?
Not sure why you chose economy 7 wrong tariff

THTC this is a type of meter not a type of heating system, lets hope the heaters are compatible with THTC. If the heaters are storage heaters they will only heat up during the off peak hours, hence the reason I said "under-specified" in my post above. Winter night is from 12pm-7am during and 11pm-6am in summer. Boost switch can be used at any time outside the THTC hours will be charged on the higher cost of electricity. Ditto electric shower etc. THTC input/output switches will certainly come into play but I don't know how you 'tune' your needs.

Wow, it's grim oop north !And it shifts by two hours going from winter to summer?I think you're confusing THTC (which has times that vary with the weather) with E7 (fixed GMT times all year but vary from region to region).0

This page explains different types of meters fairly well:

MPAN1=DAY rate=EVERYTHING BUT MPAN2
MPAN2=NIGHT rate =WATER +HSH ON THTC
It's not clear yet from the O/P who might be Islands or mainland what tariff or heating type he's on. I like others thought and continue to think he's two MPAN's THTC. If that's the case and he still has an outside wall "mouse" his NSH should allocate extra kWh overnight charge, If its no longer connected or he's not on THTC that would explain very low % night /day distribution and very high day rate bills, and his use of all day boost.

From the SSE link above:
"Other electric heaters and heated appliances can also be used on the cheaper rate. The off-peak rate is available 24 hours a day for panel heaters, focal point fires, bathroom heaters, towel rails, the hot water boost and even electric showers. You'll need to get an electrician to make sure all those appliances are connected to your cheaper-rate meter if you're not sure."
