If it's a private address they know the same as if it were a boarding house or shop. That is it was delivered there. As already said unless someone is daft enough to use their own named and address it's long gone.soolin said:
That’s why they need to investigate the address, it will almost certainly be a boarding house or shop type place with forwarding abilities, but if it is a private house then they know where item is.davidmcn said:
Against whom though? I doubt the fraudster will have been daft enough to provide a real name and/or address.soolin said:After that you can start with the letter before action route and small claims.1 -
People still send things without being paid?
Got anything else you're selling? Could do with some freebies

Is it worth pursuing a Small Claims Court application?

Only if you were confident that you had the real name and address of the fraudster, which I presume you don't. Even then, you'd need to consider the costs involved and whether you'd be likely to extract the cash from them.Sab2020 said:Is it worth pursuing a Small Claims Court application?

It would cost me £35 to make an application on www.gov.uk. I am unlikely to get any payment from the fraudster. I was happy to sell my PS4 and got carried away without thinking that this was fraud. People like him should be punished. I have reported this incident to police but I think they have more important matters to deal this especially in these Covid 19 times. I do not want this to happen to any one else but I cannot get through to Paypal Customer support to block the fraudster's Paypal account nor contact Gumtree. I have learnt that you cannot always trust everyone . I have learned the hard way.

Also, he is still trying to con me via texting. This makes me very angry. Does he think that I am stupid enough to be conned twice? The police have his mobile number and email address. But this is likely to be fake.

How is he still trying to con you? He has your console already. Are you selling other things?Sab2020 said:Also, he is still trying to con me via texting. This makes me very angry.
