Final energy bill
I’ve received my final bill from my old duel energy supplier. The bill is charging for energy not paid for due to estimated bills, but, it’s also charging standing charges. I’ve paid my bills for the dates shown on this final bill, and I’ve paid the standing charges, which is per day, for the dates on the bill. But this final bill has got a standing charge on there, per day, for the dates already paid for. So this final bill, in my opinion, should only have the money owed not any more standing charges? I can’t find an answer for this any where. Can anyone help please?
I have emailed them and queried this, but they are saying it’s correct??

Yes you only need to pay the standing charge for a day once, but are you sure this final bill isn't replacing the last estimated bill you received? If so, you should see that it already includes all the amounts you've already paid but restates the final position of your account which would include the standing charge for the period.0

On what possible basis is the supplier suggesting it would be correct to bill you again for a day's standing charge that you have already been billed and paid for?Hobo29 said:I’ve received my final bill from my old duel energy supplier. Obviously there is no basis for that, but if it is not an additional bill, but an amended version of a previous estimated bill then it would show the standing charge but should have already applied any previously paid amounts to the total.burntwood said:On what possible basis is the supplier suggesting it would be correct to bill you again for a day's standing charge that you have already been billed and paid for?
