Am I protected?

I have searched the internet for hours but cannot find the answer to this, does anybody on this forum know?
I booked a Princess cruise through an online travel agent who has been satisfactory a number of times previously. The cruise was a bucket list one so quite expensive. It was also booked very early and at a time when no flights were yet available. Some months later I booked the outward flight direct with the airline and then later, the return flight was booked with Princess Cruises though the agent.  No ATOL certificate was received.  The agent is a TTA and ATOL registered. Princess cruises say they are ABTA and ATOL registered and that their cruises are recognised as a package holiday.
Of course the cruise was cancelled. Princess offered a couple of options one of which was a full refund plus some future cruise credits which I selected.
Princess keep changing the time that they will take to process the refund and it has changed from the original 30 days up to possibly 90 working days with no certainty it will not change again.  It is now 50 days since I selected the option.

I am not in a panic for the refund but if Princess were to fail, as a last resort is my money protected and if so by who?  All payments were made to the agent by Credit Card.

As a last resort you would use your credit card company who are jointly liable so I wouldn’t worry too much over that. Hopefully it won’t drag on and it’ll be resolved for you in the not to distant future.
