I left a journal note about my savings reducing (didn't get a reply) and have received my payments statement today. Universal credit have still taken off the same amount of money for my original savings.
It's really hard to get through on the phone as we all know coz they are so busy.
Any ideas what I need to do?0 -

Hi,
Savings have reduced by £780 (I'm having to use savings to pay towards bills now I'm not working).
I added the journal note on 10th June and the statement was produced today.
My universal credit payment would only go up by about £13 but every little bit helps right now!0 -
The date you posted the information is obviously very close to the end of your assessment period so my guess would be it hasn't been picked up in time to be taken into account. What date does your AP actually run to?
You could post another message referencing your earlier message and asking them to review the statement. Ask for confirmation that the message has been read and acted on.Information I post is for England unless otherwise stated. Some rules may be different in other parts of UK.0 -
Thanks.
I'll add another journal note.
Assessment period is till 16th and get money on 23rd0 -
Well I've just used the UC benefit calculator on MSE and the result is I don't qualify for UC, despite lower income (furlough) and no savings (with the threat of redundancy looming). This is slightly concerning. I saved a copy of the PDF version it produced and can't see anything on there that suggests I don't qualify.
Anyone got any advice?

Anyone got any advice?Based on zero information it's totally impossible to give any further advice. If you're single, no dependants then yes, it's possible that you won't qualify for UC. At the moment it depends what your income is.If further advice is needed then i'd advise you to start your own thread and give more information, including some figures with your earnings and i'm sure someone will advise you further.Asking questions on other peoples thread isn't helpful and it cause confusion.0
