Currys - faulty washing machine

Hi. Any advice appreciated.
I bought a washing machine from Currys instore in early March and paid cash. 

A summary from then on :
1. Machine delivered and installed mid- March. Accrid plastic smell on first use ,rendering machine unusable.
2. Engineer was sent who confirmed machine was faulty and I had to contact Currys for an exchange.
3. Contacted Currys and arranged exchange for 29 March.
COVID -19 ARRIVED AND ALL CURRYS STORES CLOSED.
4. Curry's failed to deliver, as agreed, on 29th March. Unable to visit store and impossible to contact Currys on telephone. Tried several times- ranging from 15 minutes to 3 hours but no answer received.
5. Used different  social media to try and reach someone in Currys. After a week, received a response on Twitter. An appointment made for last Sunday  (3 May) for an exchange.
6. Engineer arrived Sunday, said his paperwork stated it was a delivery and not an exchange. He refused to leave the machine as it would have left me with 2 of Curry's machines!!! Driver told me to ring Currys to resolve!
7. Can't get an answer on their number and so far, no response from my new Twitter message. Also no response from emails to the CEO.

It's now been 2 months since I ordered and paid  and I have been without a working washing machine  ever since.

I understand Covid-19  will affect service, but I do think that Curry's customer service has been exceptionally poor.  Any suggestions would be appreciated.

    It's been exceptionally poor for decades, this all sounds normal to me...
    Given the last piece of (in)action was only two days ago I think you'll have to more patient. Nothing else you can do is really going to work any faster.
