MSE Poll: When did you last switch your energy provider or tariff?
Options
Poll started 5 May 2020
With many feeling the financial squeeze caused by coronavirus and looking to cut their monthly bills, switching to a new energy provider (or at least to a new deal with your existing provider) is an easy way to save £££s. But when did you last do it – and if it's been a while, why?

Just moved from Avro to Gulf (gas) and Green.energy (leccy) - could have saved ~ £20pa more by moving to Symbio for elec. but decided that was a bridge too far!
I've been with Iresa, Usio, One Select, Better Energy amongst others - all sadly gone now!! And worst of all Together Energy - to my amazement still in existence!!

September 2019 - switched to Zog (gas) & Symbio (electricity) due to moving into a property supplied by npower, who I refuse to use. February 2020 - switched to Gulf (gas).Gulf are excellent, their website is great although a little slow to update after bills are issued.Symbio are a joke, incompetent beyond belief, but their broken billing system allows free units which makes life entertaining.0

Really shocked at how high the percentage of people in the poll are not willing to switch because they "can't be bothered".
Recently switched from N-Power to Avro Energy.
Just the one issue, N-Power issued an estimated final bill, so I'm still waiting for a bill based on actual readings, 3 months after I switched. And no, I won't be chasing them up on it because it seems it's around £6 lower than it should be.0 -
Confusion more than anything would be a reason for them not to switch .One only has to look at this forum and posters who do not understand that a direct debit is not all you can eat , others who never enter meter readings .Not forgetting all the suppliers that have gone post .Will i swap today or will the price drop tomorrow .0

As #matelodave and #Hasbeen, I change when I'm forced to because the cheapest supplier has gone under. Still with Symbio at the moment, as they are still the cheapest for me, despite what a certain poster says (shouts!) about OFTM on the OFTM thread!0
