To Martin and all the regulars,
I want to say thank you to Martin and everyone for all the help and advice I am gaining here. For the first time ever, I am taking my debts seriously and will get on top of things eventually.
Since I joined this site, I have saved approx £30 per month in my outgoings. As I learn more, I hope to save more. No clever tricks yet but just being aware and informed is really helping.
THANK YOU EVERYONE x

Hoorah - great to hear
£30 a month - is £360 a year - which is a cracking start. Keep going and you're right not to try the more tough stuff - Big n Easy to start with and then gradually work through the others as you feel more confident with it
All the best

A good way to start off is is question everything that you spend. Ask yourself am I getting good value when I buy this. One good example is like when you buy a 500ml of coke at 74p. To me this is a total rip off because it works out at £2.96 for 2L! If you buy a 2L bottle its only what say £1.30 (still expensive) but much better than paying for a small bottle.0
