Furloughed

My partner has been furloughed already for three weeks, now he has another three weeks, he gets 80% wage, he has just received an email saying he has to take five days annual leave while off, can his employers enforce this.
thanks

Yes, as long as he is given two weeks notice (to take the week off) and is paid at normal rate for it.

They can just put the leave in the third week, so he has enough notice. As above just make sure they got 100% pay for that period.
